Peter Sekulic, formerly Senior Consultant with Canada’s largest Government Relations firm, brings vast industry experience to SRI. In his previous capacity, Peter provided services to clients in the consumer products, forestry, health, telecommunications, technology, energy and financial services sectors. During his tenure, he managed the firm’s largest natural resource sector accounts and led its Alberta procurement practice. Mr. Sekulic also served as a Member of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta and Official Opposition as the representative for Edmonton Manning from 1993-97. During his term, he held the positions of Chairman of the Standing Policy Committee for Public Accounts, Chairman of the Caucus Strategy Committee, Co-Critic Responsible for Treasury and Lead Critic Responsible for Science, Research and Technology. Peter also served on the Premier’s All-Party Panel responsible for developing Alberta’s Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Legislation and developed the first draft of the Loan Guarantee Restriction Act, which the government adopted and subsequently passed into law. Prior to his tenure in the Legislative Assembly of Alberta, Mr. Sekulic had a distinguished career with the Alberta Government with the Departments of Career Development and Employment, Economic Development and Trade followed by the Department of Family and Social Services. Mr. Sekulic holds a Degree in Economics from the University of Alberta.
